Ubunthu Advocates for Transparency and Accountability in Cyber Security Legislation

In June 2023 Ubunthu was invited to the Stakeholders Review of the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes Act No. 2 of 2021 and the review of the Proposed 2023 Amendment Bill. Among other submissions, Ubunthu submitted that the provision that the minister responsible for transport and communications could appoint any other person as a law enforcement officer should be removed.
