Ubunthu Enablers

Ubunthu Enablers (Ubunthu Zambia) is a not-for-profit organization registered in 2021 under PACRA, in line with the Companies Act of 2017 with certificate number: No. 120210025460 and NGO Certificate Number: RNGO 101/1931/2022 registered with Ministry of Community Development and Social Services in line with the Zambian NGO Act of 2009 under Registrar of NGOs.

The founders are a unique group of German & Zambian entrepreneurs, governance and human rights experts who among other things wanted to respond to high levels of unemployment and the observed human rights violations, high poverty levels and other social injustices happening in the communities of Zambia where women and the youths were seen to be the main victims.

Ubunthu uses interventions that seek to reduce poverty and improve the respect of human rights, democratic governance, and accountability a well-researched, evidence-based and people-centred economic development approach that guarantees productivity, sustainability and dignity.

This is done by strengthening the capacity of local communities to withstand social, economic and climatic emergencies through economic empowerment and sustainable livelihoods responses. Currently, the organization has 2 Project Divisions namely Community Projects and Business Projects.
