Ubunthu Strengthens Project Management Capacity through High-Level Training with GIZ.

Ubunthu is pleased to announce the successful completion of a high-level capacity-building training for our team in Choma, delivered in partnership with GIZ. The training was facilitated by Mr. Zengeni Simunchembu, Civil Society and Public Resource Accountability Advisor (GIZ–ENACT), and Mr. Mwendalubi Mulenje, ENACT Capacity Development Advisor.

This initiative forms part of Ubunthu’s ongoing commitment to enhancing organizational effectiveness and ensuring the sustainability of our development programs.

The training focused on key areas of project management, including:

  • Strengthening sustainability of project activities
  • Improving monitoring and control mechanisms
  • Understanding budgeting guidelines, tools, and financial processes
  • Enhancing project implementation strategies

Participants also explored stakeholder mapping, with an emphasis on assessing levels of influence and interest to support more strategic engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

In addition, the team received practical guidance on problem analysis using the problem-tree approach—a valuable tool for identifying root causes, shaping clear objectives, and designing more impactful development initiatives.

Ubunthu extends its appreciation to GIZ for their continued collaboration and support. This training has significantly empowered our team, equipping them with enhanced skills and knowledge to deliver effective, community-centered projects.
