Operating within its thematic areas of supporting start-up businesses, Ubunthu Enablers Brenda Michelo, Chippoh Mweemba and Manfred Klepacz conducted a four days capacity building workshop with Super valley Organic foods (SVOF).
The workshop focused on equipping SVOF employees with essential skills and knowledge to address pressing issues such as resource management, communication, and effective leadership with emphasis on finance, organizational development, business processes and Human Resource Management.
Facilitators included prominent experts in business development and management, who shared their insights and expertise on best business practices. Attendees engaged in interactive sessions and group discussions designed to foster collaboration and problem-solving.
Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the practical approach and the opportunity to openly discuss issues with other employees. “Ubunthu Enablers has done an excellent job in addressing the specific needs of our company,” said Emmanuel Manyepa, SVOF proprietor “The skills and strategies we’ve learned will be instrumental in driving meaningful change.”
Currently, SVOF is producing an OG baobab drink, Baobab tea creamer, bottled and sachet water. The company envisions producing baobab oil from baobab seeds, baobab cake flour and Tamarind drink which are set to hit the market by November 2024.
The workshop was part of a broader initiative by Ubunthu Enablers aimed at strengthening startup businesses and business owners’ management capacities and promoting sustainable growth. Future events are already being planned to continue this vital work.
