Our team in the field with cooperatives in Cooma Chiefdom, 11 months after the official handover of goats to 10 cooperatives, with each group receiving 6 goats.

Today, all the groups have recorded positive progress, with each cooperative now having 2 to 3 kids in good health despite experiencing outbreaks of Foot and Mouth Disease during the first year.

Currently, the Ubunthu team is focused on:

  1. Monitoring project progress
  2. Conducting refresher training in goat keeping
  3. Goat tagging
  4. Delivering Farming as a Business lessons
  5. Promoting animal health management

The continued growth of the goats is a clear sign of resilience, commitment, and the impact of ongoing community support and capacity building.
